We hope this site will be a valuable reference for you as you begin to explore Art of Illusion, the powerful Open Source 3D modeling, rendering and animation program.

Feel free to begin browsing the site by using the navigation bar on the left side of this screen. "Getting Started" is a good place to begin for information about running the software. "AoI manual" is a good place to begin for information about using Art of Illusion to create 3D images and animations.

On this site you will find information gathered from a variety of resources. Please note that the purpose of this Wiki is simply to consolidate information, not to replace these valuable third-party resources.

What's a Wiki?

A Wiki is a website that's designed to be edited by you, the visitor. Sound strange? Perhaps you've heard of WikiPedia, a popular online encyclopedia. Users add information as they see fit, and the community benefits from what is shared. In fact, Art of Illusion has an entry there. We believe that the Wiki is a strong platform for delivering helpful information to AoI (Art of Illusion) users. If you have information to share, please register for access, login to the site, and edit as you see fit.

Don't be afraid to play in our sandbox, if you're nervous about the wiki. If you have any problems or questions with the wiki, please journey to our Wiki Help section.

Also, while in edit mode, there is a preview button that allows you to preview your edits before you save them.

Won't somebody help me?

If you need assistance with AoI itself, it's easy to get help by posting a message at one of the forums listed at the left. The AoI user community is very diverse and eager to help you.

The content of the wiki is protected by the GNU FDL as stated in the Wiki Copyright Notice. Unless listed under another license by the original author, all works here are protected as stated under the Image License or Video License.


The wiki has recently had a few functions added to make editing easier and to provide more options to the users of it. You now can select the theme you wish to view it in on the left. Page adding and editing is now easier than ever and multi-language support has been added as described in the Wiki help. A search function has been added to make finding the info you need easier.
